When October Starts Page 12
My tongue danced with hers, and each time I deepened the kiss and another moan escaped her, my dick jolted.
It had been too fucking long, but while we were apart, I made myself come with Juno on my mind. I often used a picture of her while I rubbed my dick, calling out her name when the orgasm took over.
Our kiss lasted minutes, and although I didn’t want to let her go, I had to. I needed to tell her everything, and I wanted to hear what she’d been up to without me.
I broke the kiss, then placed a few more on her cheek and forehead before pulling her to the bench to sit down.
I grabbed both her legs and pulled them over my lap so she had to sit sideways. Her left arm stayed around my shoulders, and her right hand fisted my coat tightly, scared that I would leave her again.
“I’m not going anywhere, sweetheart,” I assured her, kissing the tip of her nose before looking back into those beautiful, deep blue eyes. “I want you to tell me everything. How’s college?” I asked.
Juno smiled softly while I caressed her thighs and held her close with my other hand around her waist. “I’m liking it so far.” She kept her answer short, and I knew she wanted to turn this conversation around.
“Where did you go after you left?” she asked.
“Went back to my parents. They own a bar, and they let me work there. I stayed at the apartment above the bar.”
“So…you’ll go back to Canada?”
I shook my head. That was probably my cue to tell her what I had in mind. I reached into my coat pocket and pulled out a little box with a bow wrapped around it. “Happy birthday,” I told her. It was yesterday, and until now, I didn’t get a chance to congratulate her on her eighteenth.
Her smile grew, and she took the box out of my hand with her eyes shining bright. “Can I open it?” she asked, and I nodded.
“Go ahead.”
She made quick work of the bow, pulling it off in one swift move. I caught the bow before it landed on the floor and then I watched as she opened the lid.
“A key,” she said surprised. “What’s it for?”
“For my new apartment. It’s near Lakewood College, and I chose it to be close to you.” Her lips parted, and she stared at the key before she turned her head to look at me.
“Are you serious?” she asked, her eyes wide.
“Of course I’m serious. I told you once we can be together, I’ll do whatever it takes to stay with you, Juno. I want you to use that key whenever you feel like sleeping over at my place.”
She threw her arms around my neck. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” she exclaimed with joy, and finally her sadness was slowly fading away.
I rubbed her back and took in her scent. “Anything for you, sweetheart,” I whispered.
“Can we go there right now?” she asked as she leaned back to look at me.
“Actually, there’s one thing I’d like to do before taking you to my place.” I brushed her hair away from her face, tucking the strands behind her ear. “I need to introduce myself to your mothers.”
Chapter Thirty-Six
Juno
It was awkward. At least for me it was. Seeing my mothers talk to Ezra while we all sat in our living room was definitely a situation I had to get used to.
Mom didn’t look as pleased as Aggie did, but since our little fallout in June, I didn’t really care about Mom’s opinions.
Aggie was more supportive. She asked about Ezra a lot, wondering if I ever chose to text him while we were apart. She cared about my feelings, about my thoughts.
“And where is this little apartment of yours, Ezra?” Aggie asked, pouring him a cup of tea.
“Thank you,” he said, keeping his hand wrapped around mine tightly. He hadn’t let me go since we sat down on the couch. “It’s a five-minute walk from Lakewood College. I figured whenever Juno doesn’t feel like taking the bus, she can stay at my place. Or she can come over for lunch, or to do homework.”
That sounded like a very good plan. I was often tired after taking the bus back home, and staying at Ezra’s a few nights a week was a great idea.
“You don’t teach anymore, right?” Mom asked, sounding rather annoyed.
“Uh, no. I’m not allowed to teach at regular schools anymore. But I am allowed to teach instruments, and I found a job as a guitar teacher.”
He had told me that on the ferry, and I thought that fit him well. He loved playing guitar, and what better way to use his talent other than teaching it to others?
“Doesn’t that require the same teaching certificate?” Mom asked, raising her brow at him.
“It doesn’t, no. I just need to know how to play the guitar and know a little bit about music theory.”
Ezra stayed calm and polite, and I was proud of him for not letting my Mom’s rude attitude bother him.
“I think you’ve asked enough for today, Daria. Why don’t you go water the plants or something like that?” Aggie was my hero. Mom had no other option other than listen to her, and so she left with a quick nod in Ezra’s direction.
I squeezed his hand, then looked at him with a smile. “I’ll let you two talk while I go get my things.”
“Okay, be quick,” he whispered, kissing my temple.
As I left the room, I heard Aggie say five words that made my heart warm immediately. “You make her very happy.”
He did, and I wished they all would’ve seen that before he got kicked out from school.
It was clear to me that it couldn’t have turned out any differently that day, but if I had the chance to rewrite our past, I definitely would.
Waiting for Ezra was hard, but knowing that his heart didn’t change one bit even after all those months was bittersweet.

Ezra
It was almost frightening how much my new apartment resembled my old. It was in the same industrial style, same brick walls, and open floor plan.
Juno looked around as we entered, and after I took my coat off, I started to unbutton hers while standing behind her.
“You like it?” I asked, bending down to kiss her neck.
“It’s perfect,” she said quietly, leaning her head back against my shoulder. “We can finally spend a night together again.”
I chuckled, knowing exactly what she meant by that. As I finished unbuttoning her coat, I got rid of it by sliding it down her arms and hanging it up next to mine.
She turned in to face me, and while we both stepped out of our shoes, I placed my hands on her waist, ready to lift her up to carry her over to my bed.
That’s exactly what I did as she placed her hands on my shoulders, and with her legs wrapped around my hips, I walked over to the bed to slowly lay her down onto the mattress.
While she kept her eyes on me, I slowly took off my sweater, followed by my shirt, belt, jeans, and boxer briefs. I didn’t feel like taking my time with her today. I needed to be inside of her. Now.
After getting rid of all my clothes, I unbuttoned her pants and pulled them down with her panties. “Sit up,” I ordered, and she did as I said.
She put her arms up so I could easily take off her sweater, which I only just realized was the one I bought her last Christmas.
“How often did you wear this?” I asked, holding up the sweater.
“Too many times. I lost count.”
I chuckled, letting the sweater fall to the floor. I put one knee on the bed, then moved over her while she quickly took off her bra and threw it onto the pile of clothes on the floor.
I kissed her and cupped one of her tits with my hand, then pushed her legs apart so I could position myself between them. I could already feel the heat rising from her pussy, and the smell of it filled my nose, making my dick even harder than it already was.
I reached between us and started stroking my shaft, pushing my tongue into her mouth and then pressing the tip against her entrance.
Being this close to her felt amazing, and I wondered how I survived without her the past few months.
I was addicted to her, and I promised myself, and her, that I would never put us through what we went through ever again.
With one quick push I moved inside of her, and her wetness immediately coated my whole length. Her warmth was one thing I missed, the other was the tightness she squeezed me with.
Juno moaned softly, and I started to move faster, thrusting into her with more force. My eyes stayed on hers, and her hands moved into my hair, tugging on it tightly and making me groan as her pussy clenched around my dick.
“Fuck. I missed this so much,” I told her. Of course, sex wasn’t the only thing I missed doing with her, but I loved her, and the greatest pleasure for me was when she came all over me, clinging to my body and screaming my name.
“Harder,” she begged, and she didn’t have to beg twice. I got on my knees and pulled one of her legs over so she was on her side. I gripped her ass tightly with one hand, and with the other I grabbed her hip.
My thrusts got faster, and with each pump into her, I dug deeper to meet that one spot I knew felt so damn good. My balls slapped against her skin, making smacking sounds which filled my whole apartment. Luckily, the walls were thick enough, and Juno could scream and moan as loud as she wanted to.
Tension rose inside of me, and it was suddenly getting hard to breathe. The air around us was thick, filled with the smell of my sweat and her arousal.
“Where do you want me to come, Juno?” I asked.
“Inside of me.” Her answer came quick, and as her pussy squeezed me again, there was not much more time left.
My dick pulsated, and after slapping her ass, I shot my load inside of her, filling her with all my semen.
Juno’s eyes closed, and she threw back her head as her body shuddered, her own orgasm overcoming her.
I ran my hands along her body, feeling every curve under my touch. I stopped at her tits, pulling at one of her nipples while we both came down from our highs.
“You’re beautiful,” I told her. I stayed inside of her, not wanting to leave that soft, warm spot.
She smiled at me and reached for my face, cupping the side of my neck and pulling me closer to her. Our lips met, gently moving against each other.
“I love you,” she whispered into the kiss.
“I love you,” I replied, and like any other time I said those three words, I meant it with all my heart.
Juno was my everything, and I would not spend one more day without telling her how special she was to me.
Epilogue
Juno
Monday, December 20
“You will not move in with him, Juniper! You’re eighteen. There’s no way it will work out when you live with him! You’re too young,” Mom called out from downstairs. She was standing next to the ladder, her hands on her hips and her face serious and angry.
I was looking down at her while I packed the last few items of clothing into one of the three suitcases Aggie gave me. “I’d appreciate a little bit of support, Mom.”
I was pissed. She knew I would go through with this, she just never wanted to get it into her head.
We talked about me moving in with Ezra a few weeks ago while we all sat around the table eating dinner. Aggie loved the idea of me moving in with him, and she’d keep on supporting me the way she’d always done.
“Let me tell you one thing, Juniper!” She lifted her hand and pointed at me. “I don’t wanna see you come back crying because it didn’t work out with him. If he breaks your heart and wants you to leave, I don’t wanna hear a word from you. You’ll soon see how men can really be. They’ll ruin your life in the blink of an eye.”
“Good thing you married a woman then,” I muttered, pulling the zipper of my suitcase to close it.
“Daria, you’re overreacting. She’s in love, and old enough to make her own decisions.” Aggie stayed calm while Mom kept raising her voice.
“She’s in college, Aggie! Can’t she at least wait until after she graduated?”
“Nope.”
Ezra would be here soon, and I didn’t want him to see Mom when she was this agitated. He didn’t deserve any of this, and keeping her away from him made me more comfortable.
“Go read a book,” Aggie suggested, and Mom sighed heavily, throwing her hands into the air. “Does my opinion not count anymore?” she exclaimed.
“It does. But it’s much more appreciated if you don’t throw judgment into every other opinion you give,” I told her, hoping she would soon understand that I needed her to be supportive, not against everything I decided to do.
“Go,” Aggie urged, and I watched as Mom’s face fell. She seemed to be thinking about something, and I waited patiently to hear what was on her mind now.
“Let me hug you before you leave,” she said, her voice low now.
I climbed down the ladder and let her hug me. “Maybe I’m acting like this because I don’t want you to leave,” she whispered.
“I know. But you have no other choice.”
Another sigh escaped her, and she let go of me to look back into my eyes. Instead of saying goodbye, she pressed her lips into a thin line, then proceeded to walk into their bedroom.
“She’ll get over it. Come on, let’s get your things downstairs.”

I didn’t have to wait too long for Ezra to arrive. He parked his car on the side of the street and got out to come and help me with the suitcases.
I smiled as he approached me, and when he reached me, I pulled him close to me by pulling at his coat.
He kissed me softly, smiling. “Hey, gorgeous,” he whispered.
“Hi.” Ever since we were back together, the butterflies in my stomach wouldn’t stop flying.
“Hello, Ezra,” Aggie said as I let go of him, and he smiled at Aggie and lifted his hand to wave at her.
“Good to see you again,” he told her.
“You guys are invited over for Christmas dinner on Saturday night. Sound good?”
“That’s perfect, thanks,” Ezra replied, grabbing two of the suitcases sitting in the snow next to us.
“Did you pack everything you need?”
“Yes. I do have some things left in my room, but I don’t need to take them with me right now,” I explained.
“Great.” He put everything into the trunk of his car, and I hugged Aggie one last time before walking to the car.
“Call me if you need anything, all right?”
“I will. Bye!”
I was about to get into the car as Mom stepped next to Aggie in the doorway. She looked pained, and I gave her a quick smile and nod, letting her know that I was going to be okay. I was safe with Ezra, and I was ready for us to be together twenty-four-seven.
“I’ll take good care of her, Daria. I promise,” Ezra said, and Mom nodded after giving him a skeptical look.
“Have a safe trip,” Aggie called out, and we both got into the car to finally drive off to our apartment.
I breathed in and out as deeply as possible, then I turned in my seat to look at Ezra. “It’s gonna be you and me from now on.”
He smiled and reached for my hand, squeezing it tight and then bringing it up to his lips to kiss it.
“Forever,” he added.
Ezra becoming my new teacher was that one serendipitous event that neither of us looked for, but I was so damn happy we met, and I couldn’t wait to see where our love would take us next.
